Located in “Europe’s Energy Capital”, the University of Aberdeen offers an unrivalled range Masters programmes in geosciences. Interdisciplinary teaching is encouraged, and we have close working relationships with chemists, engineers, mathematicians, physicists and computer scientists.
Our School is built around three core academic disciplines: Archaeology, Geography and Environment and Geology and Petroleum Geology, which all rely on knowledge of the surface of the Earth and how we humans use it.
The School’s disciplines are united in teaching and researching field-based subjects. Local, national and international field trips play a major part in all our postgraduate teaching.
Our close industry links help us deliver world-class teaching and research with a strong focus on employability, that ensures our graduates are exposed to current industry issues and thinking and acquire the professional skills sought by employers.
