Due to an increase in workload, we are delighted to be recruiting for a Contract Manager to join our expanding contract management team.

Working closely with estimators, operational managers and site-based staff, as the contract manager, you will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of the project, including technical data, ensuring that it is produced to standard and is delivered in a timely manner. You will be methodical in your approach and will be required to attend meetings as necessary, procure third-party services, create health and safety documentation, manage the works (on-site or remotely) and invoice the works on completion.
A great deal of our reputation has been built upon our strong health and safety record within the industry and a key part of your role will be ensuring that work is carried out in line with site-specific method statements and risk assessments.
Our projects can range from a single day on site to weeks in the field and can involve working on petrol forecourts, oil refineries, electrical substations, highways, reservoirs and railways, to name but a few.
As Trainee Contract Manager, we are looking for client-focused, ambitious, hardworking and dedicated individuals, with great teamwork and communication skills and 2-3 years site or contract management experience within ground investigation or a related discipline.
You will need to be adaptable and should have the ability to work independently to tight deadlines. A BSc in Geology, Geoscience, Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying is required as a minimum, along with a UK manual driver’s licence.
The successful candidate will have a strong geotechnical or construction management background and are likely to have a previous experience of contract management. They will be familiar with construction contracts, liaising with suppliers and subcontractors, and managing the financial accounts.
