Due to expansion of their Geotechnical operations, our client is looking for qualified and experienced personnel to join its team as Geotechnical Operators. We will be accepting applications from candidates with a range of experience. Salaries will vary depending on experience.
All candidates must be positive, confident and keen to develop a reputation as a team player in a seagoing role, assisting both the geotechnical sampling and drilling teams as required offshore.
You will be responsible for the preparation, set-up, testing and maintenance of Geotechnical equipment which includes various Cone Penetration Testing (CPT) systems, vibrocore and seabed sampling tools to acquire geotechnical data offshore.
You will have experience in an electro-mechanical role as well as confidence using IT systems and computer software. These skills and experience will help you with the acquisition and initial processing of high quality geotechnical data to support the Geotechnical Engineers. You will also assist them with the collation of relevant paperwork and reports.
You will be involved at all stages, from mobilisations to operations and maintenance, working closely with the Offshore Project Manager and Geotechnical Engineers to ensure that the correct equipment is prepared and that it is moved, stored and operated safely to all HSE procedures and guidelines.
Ideally, we are looking for individuals with offshore experience using CPT equipment such as WISON-APB, ROSON and Datem Rigs.
To be considered for a trainee role, you will need electro-mechanical knowledge and experience.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of mechanical and/or electrical engineering, relevant qualifications would be an advantage.
